picture of Mark Lundy

Mark Lundy is from Arizona and began working in farming as summer employment when he was in high school. Prior to attending graduate school at UC Davis, he had worked on farms as nearby as the Capay Valley and as faraway as Ireland. At UC Davis Mark earned an MS in International Agricultural Development in 2010 and a PhD in Agronomy with emphasis in Agroecology in 2013. His doctoral dissertation research focused on improving cropping system outcomes in rice systems via precision management. He has worked for UC Cooperative Extension since 2013, first as a regional Agronomy Advisor, and more recently as Assistant Professor of Cooperative Extension and Specialist in Grain Cropping Systems at UC Davis. His work strives to solve practical problems, produce outcomes that inform both production and environmental concerns, and communicate these outcomes in farmer-accessible formats as well as to the broader scientific community.
